How do you pick a good chiropractor? There are so many kinds out there. You’ve probably had a friend or a relative tell you a story or two about their chiropractor, but how do you know which one is best for you? Let me give you some recommendations. The first thing that I would do is see what kind of an examination they do is the doctor going to spend the time with you to figure out what it is that you need.
Where are you at in your health and where would you like to get to and can the office provide the services to accomplish that? Another thing you’re going to want to figure out is to see if the doctor is accessible. Are you going to be able to reach out to the doctor, to the staff? Is there somebody that’s going to help you along your journey from where you’re at to where you want to get to? Here at THE SPECIFIC, we make it a policy to not only give our personal emails to our patients, but we also give our own cell numbers to our patients. We want to just let you know that we’re here for you whenever you need us.
Another thing that you might want to look for is, as you get better along your road to wellness, does your treatment plan change? In other words, are you coming in and getting the same treatment over and over again forever? Or is the doctor being able to modify and know when to modify your care for your body when you need it?
That’s something we do often, it’s baked into the care. We actually reevaluate periodically to make sure that we’re on track, modify the treatment accordingly to make sure that you get the results that you’re looking for. The last thing to consider would be, an end date. When are we done? How do we know that we’ve reached the goal? One of the best ways that we do that is we make the patient’s physiology, some of their central nervous system. We use a graphical representation. There’s an instrument here called a DIGITAL INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY. It gives us an idea of where we’re at with our patients. And it lets us know how their body is functioning at any given time. We also take very specific x-rays of our patients. So we know exactly where to adjust them. And with this device here, we know exactly when not to adjust. You see the goal of care.
Finally, we have a team, one thing to consider when choosing a chiropractor. Is the doctor running around with multiple different hats on or are they able to focus on you and be your doctor? We have a whole team of not only doctors but also have support staff to run the operations for us so that we can focus on you.
