We’re coming up on fall, so I have some news for you — there is no cold or flu season. They’re here all year around.

It gets colder in fall. We get a little busier with friends and family and in-laws (heck, maybe outlaws; I don’t know who you’re having over for dinner!), we usually stay up a little later, and we go to office parties. There’s less sunshine, and we’re eating sweets since the holidays are coming up.

The circumstances break us down a bit faster,  so we become more susceptible to these viruses and bugs that have been around us all year round.

Chiropractic makes a difference in that susceptibility.

Studies show that chiropractic boosts the immune system boosts anywhere from 200 to 400%… that’s pretty substantial. You can increase your vitamin D levels, you can get good rest, and you can do all the things your grandma told you to do. Go to bed early, lay off the sugar, think happy thoughts, maybe go for a walk, get in a little bit of exercise.

Those things aren’t always easy, but if you can eat a little healthier, eat some real veggies, lay off the sugar, try to get to bed at a decent hour and get some good sleep, of course, I would say make sure you’re in an adjusted state.

It doesn’t mean you have to get adjusted all the time, but we want to make sure that once you get adjusted, you stay that way for long periods of time.

Even if you did get sick during the “flu season” after doing the above, it shouldn’t be nearly as bad than it would without all those things I just mentioned.

If you’re trying to find ways to take care of yourself this season or learn even more tips, just give us a call.
